Sage was in the back yard today when she saw a frightful sight, a hot air balloon! LOL! I had forgotten this was hot air balloon country so this won't be an unusual sight by any means. Surprised to see one out in this cold though. We have been in the teens every morning. She was pretty upset but hopefully she will get used to them.
We have a furniture repair guy here from the store where we bought our dining set and living room furniture. The recliner foot rest looked all caddywampus although it didn't seem to affect the way it worked. It just looked funny from the front, kinda lopsided. He fixed it and it looks perfect and now he is working on the dining table and chairs. The table has a couple dings but they are on the very edge of the table and I think once he touches them up they won't be noticable. We are being given a store credit in lew of exchanging it again. This is the second table we have gotten as the first one had a couple flaws in the finish right smack on top of the table. It's frustrating to buy new furniture and not have it arrive in perfect condition. Later today we have a guy coming to seal the granite in the kitchen. It seems everyday it has been someone coming to the house for one thing or another. And it's only going to get worse because next week the construction starts on the shop in the back yard. UPDATE: The furniture store guy just left and the table looks fantastic! I can't even see where the dings were! Wow! Then he saw some scratches on our entertainment center and fixed those!! Larry told him not to look at all our furniture or he would be here all day! Super nice guy and I need to let the store know what a great job he did!
We are still just plugging away at getting things unpacked and even starting to put a few things on the walls. I'm hoping to get the laundry room collectables, washboards and wringers, up today. And I'm getting itchy to do something about my scraproom/office. Just not sure what I want to do. I doubt I ever find a good deal on cabinets like I did at Lowes years ago. The ones I bought and used were being clearanced and were like 40% off! I went in and priced just one piece and it was over $200.00 so I just can't justify spending that kind of money right now when we need other things for the house. But it will all come together I'm sure.

Cindy do you have Habitat for Humanity stores there? Somtimes they have counters and cabinets that builders take out of houses and donate to them to sell. Might maybe check that out too
